Programming the Lux WIN1000 5-2 Day Programmable Thermostat Device
This thermostat device has been designed as easy as possible when it comes to programming. You will have an option to create a program from Monday to Friday along with a separate program for the weekend i.e. Saturday and Sunday.
Please Note: Keep it in mind that it does not allow you to create a separate program for each day on the weekend. In such case, it is always advisable to switch to manual instead.
There are 4 different temperatures for every 24 hour period, which is divided as the morning, afternoon, evening and overnight. However, It has to be kept in mind that you cannot program this device after 11 45 pm in the night and before 6 am in the morning. So, in between this time, the temperature would remain the same.
Though the device lack in the temperature range but it is still very impressive at the cost it is being offered in the market. The range of temperature starts from 45 degrees Fahrenheit and stops at 90 Degrees Fahrenheit which is quite effective and would satisfy the needs of most of the people.
Device Usability
The device just requires a power of 120v AC power outlet but always make sure that the connection is grounded. This has been mentioned by the manufacturers, though it’s really a side note and we wanted to let you know before making the decision to get this device. In case if you are not having grounded power, this doesn’t mean that you cannot have this device at your home. But make sure that you consult an electrician at first.
It also takes in two 1.5v G13 Alkaline batteries, these are same button style batteries used in the powering the clocks. The most prominent feature of this product is that it can be programmed without plugging the device into the power socket.
Another great feature is the hold button which can be used in order to temporarily override the existing program. Then, you can simply press the “hold” button. By doing this you can manually change the temperature as per your requirements. And, once you have used the temporary program and want to switch back to the previous program you can simply press the hold button again.
